Dr. Amarjeet Singh is Senior
Professor, Department of Community Medicineand School of Public Health, PGIMER,
Chandigarh.He has published more than 210 research articles, written more than
100 chapters in various books andhas coauthored more than 25books.He has completed 60 research projects.He has published a book each on
‘Demedicalizing Women’s Health’, ‘Health Promotion’, ‘Care of Dependent and Elderly’,
‘Hospital Management’ and ’Salutogenesis’. His work on mobile phone based care
(with Dr Surya Bali) was listed as an "Innovative approaches” in HSPROD
database of Govt. of India. He has initiated a new concept of establishing
multipurpose behavior therapy (MPBT) room in OPD to enhance patients and doctor
satisfaction. He has also produced 8 short films on various topics of public
health along with their script writing. He is a recipient of the prestigious
Harcharan Singh Oration &Dhanwantri Oration of IAPSM.
